On ice for a while

Hi, If you haven't noticed, I haven't been updating this blog at all really. I'm going to have to put it on ice for a while because my main website is the priority and I'm only one person. So until I figure things out and until I'm able to post on all of the websites, for now I'll have to go on hiatus here.

With luck it will only be a couple of weeks. Check back once in a while.

Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin on tour

From the Tour of Gymnastics.

Olympic swimmers open Wall Street

Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte and the beautiful Natalie Coughlin rang the opening bell for the New York Stock Market this week. Thanks to the Associated Press, we can see it below.

Misty May and Kerri Walsh on Ellen

Misty May and Kerri Walsh, the Olympic beach volleyball champs visited the Ellen show. These girls have huge energy, take a look.

Alicia Sacramone goes on Gymnastics tour

If you didn't know, gymnastics just started touring the country with Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson headlining. It's a big event with a bunch of gymnists from the womens and mens Olympic teams plus others that weren't fortunate to go to Beijing.

Originally, Alicia Sacramone wasn't attached to the tour but apparently she'll be going according to the Boston Herald. "...Olympic silver medal lass Alicia Sacramone will head out on tour-for select appearances - with the 2008 Tour of Gymnastic Superstars," says BH.

The thing that confuses me is that she's not listed on the Official Website. Whenever that changes I'll make sure to post it so you can buy your tickets, if it's in your area.

Alicia Sacramone makes her rounds

Just like Nastia Liukin, Olympian Alicia Sacramone has been making her rounds. Here's two interviews of Alicia; first is the Bonnie Hunt show and the second she's on a sports show where she explains that she will most likely not compete anymore due to injurys. Take a look.

Nastia Liukin makes her rounds

So just like the rest of the Olympians, Nastia Liukin has been making her rounds. In the videos below you'll see Nastia in a couple of interviews and a photoshoot. First up is her interview with Conan O'Brien, then a visit to The View and last a video of her photoshoot for Vanilla Star Jeans. Enjoy!

Updates

Hey everyone, Phil here!

Sorry for the lack of updates the last couple of weeks. I've been doing tech updates and a redesign on my main website NewFilmDimension.com. That has taken up a lot of my time and I run 4 websites in total. I'm just one person so it's hard to get all of the work done.

I've put up a couple of posts but not a lot. There's been a lot of news for the athletes lately but again, it's not easy for one person to handle it all. That said, since I'm done with all of my updates I can get back to posting. Come back every couple of days for new items, since I'll be posting either every other day or every couple of days. Until then remember to visit New Film Dimension for movie and TV news.

Thanks

Shawn Johnson on Ellen and her acting guest spot

First, she's so damn adorable. I don't know if I've mentioned that before. Second, she needs to stick to gymnastics.

Take a look at her guest spot on Secret Life of the American Teenager and then take a look at her interview on Ellen.

Alicia Sacramone talks to FOX Business Network

Here in this video below can take a look at Alicia Sacramone get interviewed by a dork on the FOX business network. She's talks about the Olympics, what's going on with sponsers , the future and that he has a boyfriend. Sorry guys... she's got a man.

It kind of sounds like she's done with gymnastics. I hope if that's the case, it's not for the wrong reasons. Anyways take a look.

Nastia Liukin has been busy!

Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh winning streak over

This past Sunday was big for beach volleyball because the Olympic champs Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh lost their first match in over a year. With a record of 112 games won, Elaine Youngs and Nicole Branagh took them out with 2 games to 1; 21-19, 10-21, 25-23.

Both girls were obviously disappointed by the lost and admit that they're really tired from the last couple of weeks. "I can't tell you what day it is right now," Misty says on her website. "I'm tired. It would be nice if this were the last tournament. Kerri and I have a lot going on. It's tough to focus just on volleyball right now. But that's what we do." Misty however knows the deal with being an athlete and even though she's disappointed she knows that "it happens."

"You win some, you lose some. They played great. We had our opportunities, we just couldn't shut the door. With that team, you really have to concentrate and finish them off when you can," she says about Youngs and Branagh.

While I was watching the game I think it was clear just by their play, it didn't seem like they were into it. It's true that the both of them are both very busy and they must be exhusted. Still, hopefully they can come back during their next match during the AVP Crocs Cup Shootout in Santa Barbara.

All is good girls! Your still the best BV players on the planet.
